Where Am I (2024)

Through this project, I aim to recreate today's highly convenient but overwhelming tech-driven lifestyle. People are constantly exposed to a fast-paced, high-efficiency environment, which leads to sensory overload, but they cannot avoid dependence on this form of living.
To simulate that feeling of being overwhelmed, dreamlike chaos, mixed reality, I chose items in my bedroom that were essential to my sleep, since I was suffering from insomnia during that time, which gave me strong feelings of unease and loss of control.
From the physical discomfort such as motion sickness, headaches, and eye strain caused by wearing AR devices to the mental exhaustion caused by the fragmented information of social media and online surfing with developed networks, I incorporate 3D scanned objects into real-world scenes and game scenes respectively to demonstrate this state of fusion and collision between the real world and the virtual world.
